FAQ
How do I complete Poor Private Room 0/2 in Dungeon Settlers?
Build two separate, fully enclosed rooms. Give each room a 3×3 interior and one Sleep item with quality 5 or higher, such as a Wood Bed, Stone Bed, or Cloth Bedroll. The task should move to 2/2 when both rooms are recognized.
What is the easiest Poor Private Room layout?
Use a 5×5 outer frame with one-tile walls, leaving a 3×3 walkable interior. Add one usable door and one Sleep item, then repeat the same small room beside it.
Can two beds go in one Poor Private Room?
Avoid it for this task. Two Sleep items in one enclosed space can make the room fit the Shared Room rules instead of the single-occupant Private Room rules. One Sleep item per room keeps the test unambiguous.
What should I do if the counter stays at 0/2?
Check that both rooms are fully enclosed, all four corners are closed, each door is usable, and the two rooms have not merged into one space. Then press F5 or open the Game Guide and read the current Rooms requirement.
The short answer
For Poor Private Room 0/2, build two independent rooms rather than one large bedroom. Each room should be a complete enclosed space with a 3×3 interior, one usable door, and exactly one Sleep furniture item at quality 5 or higher.
The cheapest test is two matching 5×5 outer frames. With one-tile walls, each frame leaves 9 interior tiles. A Wood Bed, Stone Bed, or Cloth Bedroll can be the Sleep item if its current quality meets the requirement.
Build two small private rooms in five steps
1. Pick two separate spots in the settlement and leave enough space for two small rooms. Do not plan one shared bedroom for this objective.
2. Build the first room as a 5×5 outer frame. Close the walls and all four corners so the walkable interior is 3×3, then leave one usable door.
3. Put one Sleep item inside the first room. A Wood Bed, Stone Bed, or Cloth Bedroll works as the test furniture when its current quality is at least 5.
4. Repeat the same 5×5 frame, door, 3×3 interior, and one Sleep item in a separate space. Keep a wall between the rooms so the game cannot treat them as one large room.
5. Wait for the room state to update, then check the task counter. Success is 2/2, or a room tooltip/state that identifies both spaces as Poor Private Room.
Minimum layout: 5×5 outside, 3×3 inside
Use this grid as a construction guide. The outer border is the wall, the middle area is the 3×3 interior, and D marks the door position. Build the same pattern twice with a solid separating wall.
The diagram is a practical minimum layout, not a promise that every future build will use the same wall thickness. If the current room preview reports a different size, follow the in-game preview and Game Guide.
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wall | Wall | Wall | Wall | Wall |
| Wall | Open | Open | Open | Wall |
| Wall | Open | B | Open | Wall |
| Wall | Open | Open | Open | D |

If the task does not register
1. Check the four corners first. A diagonal gap or incomplete wall can leave the space open even when it looks enclosed at a glance.
2. Check the door next. The opening must be a usable, complete door, not a missing section of wall that joins the room to the outside.
3. Check that the rooms have not merged. Keep a solid wall between them and avoid placing both beds in one continuous interior.
4. Check the furniture. Each room needs one Sleep item, and the current item quality must be at least 5. Do not add random furniture before confirming these basics.
5. Press F5 to open the Game Guide and inspect Rooms. The current game interface is the final check for room size, furniture type, quality, and the 2/2 task counter.
Version boundary
Room recognition is version-sensitive during Early Access. The 3×3, one Sleep item, and quality 5+ baseline is the current working solution for this page, while F5/Game Guide remains the final check when a future update changes the rule.

Version note: The 9-tile and Sleep-quality baseline matches the current task evidence and third-party room references. If your build shows different requirements, use the current F5 Game Guide as the final authority.
Version boundary: The screenshots document the task context and a two-room layout. They do not by themselves prove the final counter changed to 2/2; use the verified in-game counter and current Game Guide for completion.
